An investigation starts with an agreed upon date and time for the investigation much like any other appointment. K2PN will present our “Initial Client Forms” either prior to or at the beginning of the investigation. These forms include our Confidentiality Agreement which will allow you to indicate your level of comfort with release of any evidence received during the investigation.

Paranormal investigators typically work in teams, with each member responsible for a particular area of the investigation. Our investigators collect evidence from clients and witnesses of the phenomenon through interviews conducted before, during or after the investigation. We also research the history of the location to include any former occupants and events.

K2PN will also check for logical reasons for the activity reported and keep an open mind to the possibility that there is no paranormal activity. There are explainable reasons for disturbances, like flaws in the foundations of a building, plumbing, gas leaks, or a client’s imagination. However, we are also open to the fact that there is paranormal activity that cannot be scientifically explained.

K2PN operates high-tech equipment, like thermal imaging, electromagnetic meters, temperature meters, ion detectors, and Geiger counters. They also use closed circuit cameras, audio recorders and surveillance microphones. We use this equipment to check for:

v Thermal Imaging and Temperature Meters = Temperature fluctuations

v Electromagnetic Meters (AKA K2 or Gauss Meter) = Magnetic field fluctuations

v Ion Detectors = Measures positive and negative ions within the air

v Geiger counters (AKA REM Pod) = Vibration

Our investigators will conduct a “stakeout” for a period necessary to witness and record any unusual activity in the reported areas. We hope to observe mysterious incidents that the clients or witnesses claim, such as unexplained noises, voices, apparitions, slamming doors, or floating objects, all while operating their equipment to document the activity as well. Depending on what is encountered in an investigation, we may request to investigate further at an agreed upon time.

Following the investigation, we try to review the data and documentation received during the investigation as quickly as possible. Upon final review of the points of interest garnered, we will contact you to review what was found and our analysis of what we believe may be the source of the activity.
